Spring Cleaning...

I'll say this now.  I'm an organized person, really I am... but only when it comes to certain things.  All my video files are VERY well labeled.  Ask Laruku.  Photosets are all in albums, again, labeled.  HOWEVER, I've never really been good about keeping my living space neat.  No, I don't have wrappers and food all over the place.  Nothing is rotting in my kitchen.  I'm not THAT kind of messy.  It's more clutter than anything else.  I have a tendency to just put things down around me.

But, seeing as how people are starting to ask why I never invite anyone into my apartment, I'm (finally) going to do something about it.


FIRST:  Clean up the living room.
     -  Recycle bottles and paper
     -  Re-organize packing materials and other post office stuffs
     -  Put books and clothes away... except this is tricky part, seeing how I don't have any more book space, nor
      do I own any drawers.

SECOND:  Mass dump
     -  Find out how to set up the pick-up truck
     -  Bed and crappy couch 
            -  This is somewhat of a debate... I currently have a double bed and it really takes up a TON of space.  
             But should I really just get rid of it?  I mean, I'm not currently using it, but I don't exactly own the futon
             I sleep on either.

FINALLY:  Buy new furniture
     -  Shelves.  God.  I never have enough shelves... Manga, magazines, photos, pamphlets... never enough space.
     -  Those plastic drawer things for my clothes.  Things are currently either hung up or in boxes.  The boxes HAVE
       TO GO!
     -  Chair so I can have something to lean against after I get rid of the crappy couch.
     -  ...Futon, you know, if I decide to get rid of the bed and my neighbor asks for his futon back.


THE INCENTIVES:  
     -  If I manage to do the first part, I'll finally go buy an electronic dictionary.
     -  If I finish the second, I'll treat myself to a scanner.  

I thought about letting one of the incentives be buying that 12 megapixel camera/phone I want, but who am I kidding?  I'd probably go buy that anyway.  *weak*  And if some of you were wondering why there's no incentive for the last task, it's cause I actually like buying that kind of stuff.  ^^;

Ugh. I need to clean my room too... =/
and I've been thinking to buy electronic dictionary too actually. since I'm planning on keep studying Japanese, maybe it's more handy if I use the electronic one instead of the real dictionary. it's easier to bring to the classroom too. lol do you know any good one? xD

I hear that the CANON's are the only ones that have menus in English. I'll probably get a Casio Ex-Word though... There seems to be a ton of different models to choose from. Just make sure it has a backlight on the screen and that touch-pad write-in thing. Other than that, I'm probably gonna choose by color.

They also have lots of comparisons online you can look at if you're looking for something specific. ^-^

I was looking it up online. The Canon's seems pretty decent, they have a Japanese/Chinen/English functions too, since sometimes I recognize Kanji because I know the Chinese meaning to it. xP and the price for the Canon's are pretty affordable too. The Ex-Word seems too advanced for me, and it's rather expensive. lol. I'm still gonna look around cuz I'm not buying it anytime soon xP need to save up first! ^_^

lol I had the same problem, but I completed my dump...all 8 trash bags -_-; Are you keeping the broken kotatsu too? cause I would replace that too...lol which crappy couch are you dumping? the lumpy one is somewhat comfortable XD More visits to Ikea ^^ I wish we had one here...would make life so much easier XP lol you think Rob even remembers that you have his futon? Ganbatte ^^\V/

I don't want to buy a new kotatsu. Not yet. Especially since I'm not even using it for anything but a desk. Once I finish this make-over, we'll see. I definitely want a new kotatsu quilt.

I'm dumping the useless one that I can barely sit on. The one that Quinn slept on, I actually like, so that's not going anywhere. ^_^

And, yeah, I'm pretty sure Rob remembers that I'm using his futon. ^^;;;

btw... is Pan-kun the chimp on Aiba's zoo show? 'cause I want you to tell me when the episode of him pounding mochi comes out online. It's REALLY CUTE!!! At one point, Shimuken has to hold Pan-kun back cause he kept trying to stick his hands in the mochi rice. And he loves anko.

I hear ya~. :P All my JE items are really nicely organized but the rest of my room is a total mess. XDD;; There are clothes all over the place, but not food or stuff like that. ^^
