I don't get this feeling

I don't know how this has happened, but I feel weird not posting for 5 days.  It's only been 5 days!  That's less than a week!  Why does it feel like such a long time?!  Don't understand it, but I actually feel like I've been neglecting my journal.  O.o

Let's see... what have I done in those 5 days...

 -  Went to see Takki at Yokohama Arena... in YUKATA.  I may or may not have peer pressured a few other people into doing it with me.  ^^;  But it was fun.  I've always wanted to go to a concert in yukata.  I dunno... I just like dressing up sometimes (ok, A LOT), but it was fun.  Takki was two feet away from us on the cart since we were first row stands and we had a great view of the whole show.  And the best part was that we could sit for the entire thing.  Very rarely do I get seats that allow me to do that.

The concert itself was good... but I have to admit that I liked the Osaka one better.  I missed the presence of Kanju backing.  Oops.  ^^;

 -  Rachel was leaving for Hokkaido on Sunday, leaving me with nearly 10 hours on my own before my bus back to Osaka.  Val and Chris had mentioned that they were going to Nakano that day and I was jealous that I wasn't going with them... for about 10 seconds before I was like, "Hey.  Why DON'T I go with them?!"  Turned out that Chris left to go home in order to save herself from spending money that need not be spent, so I met up with just Val and she helped me kill a few hours before she had to leave.

I was rather well behaved.  There are a TON of Kanju photos at TRIO, but I only bought... 11 photos?  But then I bought Miyata's and Nika's EbiKisu clearfiles ('cause I was dumb and didn't buy all of them when I went to the actual concert), as well as Ota's X-Mas '07 message photo and Kisumai's one from the YOU 達の音楽大運動会 thing.  We'll ignore the fact that Miyata's signature looks like it says 'Mjda' with a crossed 'd' and that Senga's looks like it says 'Keuto'.  They clearly weren't used to cursive.  Kitayama's signature in kanji is always really nice to see, but his "hiR>o<" is super cute too.

Anyway.  Val spent like 3x more than me.  Makes me feel better. ^_-

 -  Arrived back in Osaka at 6:30am, got home at around 7:30, took a shower and went straight to work.  Exhausted, but I feel like I did a good job of hiding it.

 -  Went to see PLAYZONE last night.  Enjoyed it a lot.  I was actually confused for a bit because the story ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE!  My seat was the last row on the first floor, dead center, so even though on paper it looks like a really crappy seat, for a butai, it was really good.  And to sum up my thoughts... I'm basically just gonna c/p what I texted to Rachel after the show.

Ryu's hair is permed in a sort of unfortunate way.  The other members, MAD, and Yara had fun poking at him for it.  Gocchi's dark hair is super pretty, Tottsu's looks soft, and Kawai's is way too short.  Hasshi trots after them around the stage (instead of striding like he should during songs) and looks extremely uncomfortable during the dance on the grad staircase thing, eyes darting down a lot.  Tsubasa nearly walked/slipped off the front edge of the stage.

In addition to that, Tsuka-chan makes me happy and a lot of the ad lib stuff that ABC-Z did were really funny.  Yara cooked Kawai's pet shark (Jaws the Third) for dinner.  And it took maybe 10 seconds of going, 'Hm... I've seen this choreography somewhere...' before realizing that they were for some reason unknown to logical thinking people, performing "It's BAD".  Guess what?  It was bad when Massu did it and isn't much better now that Tsubasa's doing it.

Also, the random usage of Kansai-ben was highly amusing.  Someone, probably Noeru, asked Yuma if he were to eat Hi-Chew, would he be able to speak Kansai-ben?  To which Yuma immediately started to say his line from the Hi-Chew commercials.  もう・・・優馬、早くこっちに帰って来いよ〜 *sigh*

 -  After getting home from PZ, I found a test that Ms. Hasshi made sitting in my inbox.  Not only fixed problems in the English (wow did it need fixing... even though I'm pretty sure she'll tell me that she found it in some textbook), but also fixed all her formatting issues.  There were odd mixes of Japanese and English spaces throughout (Japanese spaces are larger than English ones), as well as sometimes using the tab button but then using the space bar at other times.  Oh, Ms. Hasshi... We'll add not knowing how to use Word to the list.

 -  Talked to Laruku for the first time in a MONTH.  Don't know how that happened, but yeah.  Finally just called her house and totd her to get online.  Showed her ABC-Z's video on TakiCHANnel.  When she got to the website, the first thing she told me was that the site's character looks like a penis.  Made my day.  hahaha...  We also went through all the Junior profiles in the calendar.  In exchange for getting her to pay all this attention to Juniors, I watched the new K8 PV and downloaded the first episode of JOKER.  I REALLY LIKE THEIR NEW PV!  It's about time they were allowed to release one of their actual songs.  Sorry, but completely hate Wonderful World and only tolerate KyuJyoSHOW in concert... with either Miyata or Kanju singing it.  But anyway.  They look so good!  And it makes me really happy to see Yasu actually smiling, instead of the overly bright and probably fake smile we often see.  The real smile is a hundred times better.

Taking tomorrow off so that I can have lunch and hang out with one of my friends before she leaves to go back to med school in Kanazawa.  Probably won't be able to see her again until next March.  Let's see... other than that, I will at some point post my updated sales list, do laundry, and clean my apartment... again.  I really wish sometimes that I was the type of person that scanned things to share online...  I'm aware that I have a lot of things that people haven't posted before, but then I think about how long it takes to not only scan and crop, but to also upload and encode.  Sorry.  Maybe someday.

You and your peer pressure. But it was fun as a one time only thing. Just as long as you don't go demanding we all dress in floral jumpsuits and ugly hats for the next con. :P

I'll probably hit up Nakano next weekend. So it wasn't saving the money so much as delaying spending it. x_x

I was actually confused for a bit because the story ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE!
Such a rare thing, isn't it? Though the giant TV screen was a bit 'WTF?'

The Tackey T totally looks like a penis! I've been thinking that for a while now. Val just looked at me blankly when I told her this. But when I was making the one for my uchiwa I was just like 'I totally understand why they made you blue instead of Tackey Pink.'

Scanning things is such a pain in the ass. I have no clue how people can do mags and pamphlets and stuff. I'd end up throwing things.

[identity profile] talisa-ahn.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 01:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry. There's no way I'm ever going to bother wasting precious fandom money on floral jumpsuits, denim shirts, and horrid straw hats.

Ah well. haha... You have some catching up to do, coming into the junior fandom late.

Yeah... the giant TV... but I'd have been shocked if they DIDN'T have any method to spy on them.

LOL!

I have no idea how you even scanned as much as you did!

[identity profile] flailinginlove.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Good to hear. ;)

I... don't want to even think about how much it will cost to get all the goods I want from the EbiKisu cons. >_<

True. If they didn't have the TV how would the MAD cops know where to find Scarf Boy?

Only for Kisumai (and a little for Ebi) and mainly because it's a smaller fandom. All the debuted groups have enough people to scan so they are on their own. Oh the things I do for jrs.

[identity profile] talisa-ahn.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. That's exactly why I SHOULD scan things. My things are Kanju related and therefore really hard to find. So I should scan, but...

[identity profile] flailinginlove.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I feel bad for overseas Kanju fans. Like, how do you even manage to get into them when you aren't in Japan? Hell, even in Japan they aren't exactly all over the place. Must be difficult.

Oh, also. Their JFC vid was cute. 14 year old jailbait is TALL. And very much jailbait. Wow.

[identity profile] talisa-ahn.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 01:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I really don't know. I didn't know much about them until I got to Japan... and it's really easy because I live in Osaka, but really? No clue how other people do it. Shokura twice a year? Ouch.

LOL. Kotaki in pictures, hot. Kotaki moving in any way shape or form... obviously jailbait. Haven't watched the vid yet, but I definitely will.

[identity profile] flailinginlove.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it helps that during the talk part he stands really still? But yeah, during con clips it was a lot more obvious.

Sorry for intruding, but...

[identity profile] shinobu-k.livejournal.com 2010-08-20 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
...Ah, It took me 5 years to read Kusumoto's name because I couldn't read kanji and my only source were three Myojo that didn't write names in romaji, lol. So it's not easy nowadays but it's better somehow :D

Re: Sorry for intruding, but...

[identity profile] flailinginlove.livejournal.com 2010-08-24 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
That's crazy. I'm impressed you stuck with it so long if that's all you had. I definitely wouldn't have been able to become a fan like that.

Re: Sorry for intruding, but...

[identity profile] shinobu-k.livejournal.com 2010-08-24 09:23 am (UTC)(link)
XD There's not much info about them now anyway so it was really hard but that's what happen when you're interested in Kanju I guess it's hard to follow them if you don't live in/travel to Japan ^^

[identity profile] devilayu.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
You crazy kids and scanning. I would totally help to ease the burden...if I had a scanner. I used to have to scan hundreds of manga pages when I worked at CPM.

[identity profile] flailinginlove.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
I got the cheapest copier/printer/scanner I could find because I wanted a printer at home and figured I might as well pay a little more for a scanner too while I was at it. I think it was like maybe 5,000 if that.

[identity profile] devilayu.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
That's cheap! A printer would be a nice thing to have, particularly since I often forget to bring home my prints to take to my eikaiwa. D:

I went to watch playzone in my yukata last year~
wasn't so much fun since I was recovering from being sick but YamaRyo and Nika smiled at me when they walked past the aisle where I was sitting and a bunch of MAD guys waved later too and Eda was all "yukata~*happy boy-sparkle moment*" XD so that made me feel a bit better. I still want pictures of you guys :3

Ah, I read those playzone report lines, too XD in gtalk ♥
it must've been shocking to see that the butai made sense...I shall be shellshocked if there's a DVD ^^

kansai-ben and kanjuu make a lot of things better...I am happy that we got a kanjuu jfc vid up now and they're trying to put in all the names and stuff for people

*hugs and kisses*

[identity profile] talisa-ahn.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 11:25 am (UTC)(link)
I enjoyed it a lot. Can't walk, can't bend, and if I eat, can't breathe either... but I really like dressing up in yukata. haha... I'll email you one.

haha... I just feel like PZ is one of those butais that never make sense, so I was confused that it did.

lol. I'll be off to watch those vids after this. ^_^

[identity profile] shatteredtenshi.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I wore my yukata to Tono's concerts too~

Ah, you bought the KisuMai thing that I held back on, lol. Well, I know it won't be there to tempt me next time I go then. XD

Scans...//hums// Yea, time consuming. =v=;; I have a ton of stuff to scan once I get back home. It'll take a while to get caught up...

[identity profile] talisa-ahn.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 11:30 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah... I just look at all the stuff that I've accumulated and the more I do, the less I feel like scanning. At least for other fandoms, other people take the time to scan... but the Kanju fandom is so small... *sigh* I should at least do the photos I really like.

[identity profile] devilayu.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Nakano was fun! I had to gloss over many photos. But now that I've reorganized my existing photos in a way that's easier for me to keep track of, it'll be bad when I go back again (either before or after my Taiwan trip). Beatrice told me there's a shop selling JE things in Taiwan, too...

I have the Kisumai YOU達 board at my desk in school! XD

[identity profile] talisa-ahn.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 11:31 am (UTC)(link)
I'm jealous that you can get to Tokyo so easily! And yet... hmm... maybe it's a good thing that I can't. haha...

It's on your desk at school? I won't even take out photos to look at at school!

[identity profile] devilayu.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm like a JE goods mule for my girls. I've already gotten an order for Ebikisu assuming they do pics. XD My passion for JE is the worst kept secret in school.

[identity profile] laruku05.livejournal.com 2010-08-20 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
It totally does...but I probably see phallic images much easier than you do...idk how we neglected each other for a month...talk about strange...lol your kanju bias is showing~ So what did you buy from the super market?
