YOUたち、何型？

I'm B型!  And it may be weird to a bunch of you, but I only found this out today.  Yes.  I'm 23 and have just figured out what blood type I am.  When I went to the BOE today, they just happened to have the blood donation bus set up outside.  Since it looked like a good opportunity, I donated blood for the first time (didn't make the weight requirement in high school and then I kept piercing my ears). 

For a second, I thought they were gonna tell me, "No," because my blood pressure was really low.  And then when I was actually in the bus to do the actual donating, they covered my arm in heating pads and a towel.  Hmm...  The bright side, is that I now know my blood type.

Then, while at the BOE, I mentioned that the ceiling in my kitchen has been leaking water, so a bunch of people came by to take a look at it this afternoon... and then I went out to eat dinner with my supervisor's wife.  We went to a really nice Italian restaurant... and I forgot that I donated blood and what that means.  Only got through 1/3 of my glass of umeshu before feeling faint.  Didn't even make it to the bathroom before collapsing on the floor.  I always have these embarrassing moments when I'm with my supervisor or his wife. 

Anyway.  Home now with a huge bottle of Pocari Sweat even though I hate that stuff.  Boo.  Oh well... will definitely remember this for the next time I donate blood.

Went to bed early that night cause I was tired... and then woke up at 5am. I don't think that counts as a 'big rest'. haha...

I hope you're feeling better. :-/ I always faint when I get blood drawn too, but at least you know yours will be used for a good purpose. ^^

I just found out my blood type last year actually. It seems like a lot of people in the states don't know what theirs is.

Yeah... I felt really bad for the restaurant owner. He was really nice. Oh... what a waste of amazing food~~~~~! >.< Will have to go again someday.

I was told that B is rather common in Americans (while A is really common in Japan). We're 'my pace' according to my supervisor.

I definitely agree with the 'my pace' thing. I think B's are also supposed to be a little confrontational, lol.

*shake hands* you're not the one who fails :P *lol we not* I'm 23 too n just knew my blood type (which is B) earlier this year too. I can't donate blood becos mine is too ... liquid ^^! I dont know how to say it but it's hard to stop bleeding.

I get anemia when I have bad hay-fever induced nosebleeds... and then I fall over, too... try fainting in a public market place ... X_X I hope you'll feel better tomorrow!

Yeah. Was at the table and suddenly didn't feel so great. The restaurant's not big, but I just never made it. Before I knew it, the floor was right in front of my face.

Is the 'seriously?!' for the weight or the piercings? In high school I was 103lbs (46.7kg) and I have 8 ear piercings (5 on my left and 3 on my right). So yeah. Just wasn't able to before and never knew how to once I got to Japan. ^^;

Yeah. It was more than 4 hours after the actual donating, but I guess my body just hadn't caught up. Live and learn.

I WISH we'd done an experiment like that in high school~!

I agree. NO MORE FAINTING. It's never happened before and it was not fun. Yeah... you look like you wouldn't make the weight requirement. haha...

Alcohol + blood donation do not mix. WHOOPS. But hopefully since you didn't faint until a significant time later, and after drinking, that means you shouldn't have trouble donating in the future (provided you, you know, avoid the alcohol afterward *wink*). I should see about doing it again. Maybe they'll let me here?

I had blood taken at the doctor yesterday for allergy testing. Thank god they do it that way instead of doing the arm pricks like in the US. Those things itch like CRAZY.

Also I agree with you on the Pocari Sweat thing. It's like Gatorade, which I also hate, and the nurses always used to make me drink it when I was sick. UGH. It makes me want to gag. The only time I could really drink Gatorade was when I was playing Ultimate, because I'd be so hot and thirsty and tired that it wouldn't matter. Good luck getting that stuff down. :S

It's just so gross~! I'm almost done with the 900ml bottle now. Bleh. Only drinking it cause I figure it has things that my body's probably lacking at the moment. Ick.

Of course. And Tama... マイペース... Of course it would be those two! haha...
